The best way to help

Just show up

Honestly, that’s it. The park doesn’t need you to fill out a form or pledge anything — it needs hands on a Saturday morning. Come for twenty minutes or the whole three hours. Bring a friend or come solo. We’ll be glad to see you either way.

What a work day is like

We meet at a trailhead, sort out who’s doing what, and spend the morning on something useful — pulling invasive cape ivy out of Soberanes Creek, clearing a path, or fixing a worn stretch of boardwalk. It’s easy, social work; you’ll learn the names of a few plants and a few neighbors. Nobody’s keeping score, and you can leave whenever you need to.

[BRACKETED: add your own detail if you’d like — the usual meeting spot, whether there’s coffee, the after-work hang. A true specific or two makes all the difference.]

What to bring

  • Water More than you think you’ll need.
  • Layers The fog burns off; bring something to peel.
  • Sturdy shoes Trails can be uneven and a little muddy.
  • Work gloves We keep spares if you forget.

If you’d rather chip in

Showing up is worth more than anything, but if you’re not nearby and want to help with the cost of lumber, gloves, and trash bags, a small gift goes a long way. There’s no expectation here — only thanks.

Ask how to give

[BRACKETED: replace with the real way to give once the family decides — a mailing address, a fiscal sponsor, or a simple donation link. Keep it gentle.]
